Precipitation, clouds and fog will be the main theme throughout the week. Over the next few days, Norway can expect heavy rainfall across the country, but in one spot in particular it will be particularly bad.
– Western Norway will miss the weather this time, but that’s nothing new, says Isaac Slettebo, the meteorologist on duty at the storm.
Rainy weather will reach eastern Norway and Oslo on Thursday, but there will be a short break from the wet.
– Behind the rain there is light cloud cover. Probably no heavy rain. On the contrary – little rain in October is more common, says Slettebo.
The sun may peek out – if you’re lucky
If you have a fall vacation, be prepared for rain in the next few days. But if you’re lucky, you might get a short break from the rain.
– It’s hard to find a weather winner this week, but you can say that Northern Norway will be the weather winner this weekend. There may be some sun in Trams and Finnmark.
On Thursday, the sun will appear for a short time – in the west, south and east. The weatherman says Troms and Finnmark will be dry over the weekend, while Nordland will see rain over the weekend.
– A good definition of wet and gray for the next few days.
Winter weather is on hold
In Svalbard, October has had plus daytime temperatures so far, but it looks like minus degrees will apply over the weekend – both day and night.
The same cannot be said for the rest of Norway.
– Around Norway the temperature is about ten degrees. In northern Norway, he says, the temperature will be five degrees.
In the mountains, you have to go a little higher up the peaks to find precipitation like snow, but winter weather applies on some mountain passes.
– The temperature fluctuates quite a bit, so there is no winter weather for the first time.
