Restart iPhone – The Secret Reboot Trick

Restart iPhone – The Secret Reboot Trick

We recently wrote about how people find it hard to restart their iPhone after Apple removed the Home button from their phones.

Nine hidden iPhone tricks

It was easier before

A force restart is often the solution when the mobile phone is not working as it should.

When the iPhone had a physical home button, it was just a matter of holding it while holding the sleep/wake button on the side until the screen went black and the Apple logo appeared.

However, on newer iPhone models, it is more complicated.

It’s a slightly longer process which means you have to press volume up, then press volume down and finally press and hold the side button – not at the same time, but in order. You also have to be quick when under pressure.

Nobody can do that anymore

You can use Siri

But now it turns out that there is actually an easier way to do that, provided you have the iOS 16 update installed.

Then all you have to do is ask Siri to do it for you, says the Lifehack website lifehacker.

– All you have to do is unlock your iPhone and say something like “Hey Siri, restart your iPhone,” Lifehacker says in a video.

When you do, Siri will ask you to confirm the request. Say yes or press the button RestartThen your iPhone will turn black. The Apple logo will appear after a short time, and finally the mobile phone will be ready to use again.

Think of blowing up 🤯 as the guys say.

You can also use the same trick to turn off the iPhone, but then of course you have to turn it back on yourself after that 😉
