On the TV 2 show ‘Secret duets’, famous artists will perform with the people they have a special relationship with. With a wall separating the pairs of duets, the lead artist must attempt to guess who is on the other side of the wall.
On Sunday’s episode of the music program there will be a family reunion with Hein Totland, his ex-wife Celje Nergaard (56) and their daughter Carla Nergaard-Totland (19).
Heine and Celje have been married for 24 years and have three children together. In August last year, the couple announced their separation.

I was shocked
Heine had no idea his daughter was on the other side of the wall when he sang the duet.
– It was a complete shock. She was probably the last person I expected to see. So I didn’t think in my wildest imagination that it was Carla who was standing there, so it was a very emotional moment for me,” he told TV 2.
Carla has sung on stage before, but never this way.
– It was very interesting to perform on such a stage, but I was so nervous that I don’t remember anything, she admits.
The ex-wife was also present during the same program as the secret duet partner of singer and musician Hans-Peter Aeserud (51).
– For me it was very funny. It was very unusual for me to do something so different from what I usually do, says Celje.

Kill the look
Heine was the only one in the family who did not show that the three were meant to be together during the recording. Carla thought keeping everything a secret was a lot of fun.
– It was so much fun. I had to lie a lot. I called the school the same day and did everything to divert him and it worked great because he was so surprised, says the 19-year-old.
Carla and Celje kept all the secrets, but they were very close to revealing themselves.
– Mom was going to expose me, for example, by asking if I would go to rehearse in the studio. Then I got a killer look pretty quickly, says Carla.
“Abbe Proudhud has never had such things,” Hein says, laughing from the side lens.
In the footsteps of the parents
Carla followed in her parents’ footsteps, and has been involved in music her entire life. She herself has just finished high school and the plan is to go full speed with music.

The plan is to release a song and see where it goes from there. I will try to sing in front of an audience as often as possible, and try to explore and create my own art, as you say.
Since both of his parents are musicians, the 19-year-old grew up in a household where musicians walked in and out of doors throughout his upbringing.
– it is fun. I love him. Maybe that’s why I ended up like this myself.
When asked about their relationship today, Heine and Silje express a good mood.
– We are good friends, says Heine.
