On the way to Sandnessjøen, under the glorious rays of the sun, the city’s elite afternoon participants, on roller skates, had to stop for a photo of the memory book.

Rigging the arena at Sandnessjøen Båtforening is in full swing at 14, and contestants are in place for the afternoon parade race.

The public is getting close to some of the world’s best skaters and other well-known profiles from the cross-country environment, according to the organizers.

Even Northug emerged victorious from the first race of the “City Sprint Summer Tour,” which began at Mo i Rana, on Wednesday.

Sandnessjøen’s confirmed starting list:

Up to North

Andrew Musgrave

Lars Helmsett

Pal Tron On

Harald Astrup Arnesen

Ragnar Praguend Andersen

John Christian Dahl

Christopher Grunvik

Amalie Us

The boardwalk runs from City Hall and around the marina.

The program will be the World Cup sprint competition, with qualifying rounds and finals.

In Sandnessjøen, a 700-meter track is planned in Strandgata and along the promenade next to the marina, which this summer was a parking place for mobile homes.

There will also be a separate race for children aged 0-10 on the same course as the cross-country skiers, according to the organizers’ report.

Register for the kids’ race here.

In addition, young local runners will be invited and will have the opportunity to try their hand at elite runners, according to the organisers.
