- Brentford – Manchester United 4-0
MANCHESTER (Dagbladet): Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (27) gets his skin full of football expert Gabriel Agbonlahor (35).
– He’s the worst teammate you can have, says the former Aston Villa player TalkSPORT.
United sweeps after a terrible start and zero points in the English Premier League. Yesterday – a day after the 4-0 loss to Brentford – the players were called up for more training.
Against Liverpool a whole week. But the move testifies to the turmoil and panic at the club.
One player who usually escapes criticism is midfielder Fernandes. But now Gabriel Agbonlahor of talkSPORT has had enough.
It’s easy to point to Harry Maguire, Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho. Fernandes has great goal stats and assists. Agbonlahor says he seems to be the worst fellow you could have.
– Every time a player gives the ball away – or gives it away – he throws his arms at his teammates in frustration. He whipped his arms on the seat. If I played with a player like him, I’d be damned. Had Paul Pogba done the same, he would have been slaughtered in the media.
Agbonlahor continues:
Fernandez even escapes with murder. Can you see him do anything?

The Portuguese joined United from Sporting Lisbon in 2020.
In the 2020/2021 season, he scored 18 goals and provided 11 assists in the Premier League. Then the arrows point down. Last season, he scored 10 league goals and made 6 assists.
– I don’t remember the last time he played a good game. Agbonlahor notes that he hits his arms in desperation, even though he is the one giving the ball away.
– He can get past you, but send the ball out. Still, you are to blame. This is the Fernandez type. He’s the worst fellow you can have.
Manager Eric Ten Hag has been gracious after losing Brentford and the worst start to the Premier League in 30 years. During the break, he made three substitutions.
– He said I can change the whole team.
– That’s just nonsense. One error can occur. But the second and third is unacceptable.
Then the fans directed their anger at a group of players who came to apologize.
The first half was an extermination for Manchester United. It was men against boys, says Sky Sports expert Gary Neville.
On Monday a week later Liverpool will be at home. The masses gather to boycott. Protesting the owner of the club, the Glazer family. But everything seems to be wrong at Manchester United.
