Smooth roads in southern Norway: – report that a garbage truck is needed

The roads in the mountain passes in southern Norway are not proud. However, on major roads, driving conditions are very good.

From Kaustablik in Telemark towards Rjugan, there are reports of very slippery roads. A queue has formed as a result of the conditions, and cars are waiting for the breakthrough.

– We have communicated the need for a garbage truck and it is on its way. We get more comments from the audience that a lot of people are standing there. They're waiting for a vagrant, transit operator Sarah Bendixen tells VG.

Bendiksen says there are very different driving conditions around southern Norway. On main roads, better conditions are reported, while on side roads and mountain passes the reality is different.

– Lots of snow and wind in many places. Elsewhere there was rain on freezing ground. Fortunately, traffic has been good so far.

These mountain passes are closed.
