Crown Prince Jodi and Princess Ingrid Alexandra (19) attend an 18th birthday celebration for Prince Christian (18) at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen on Sunday.
Agreed with mom
Many European royal families have traveled to Denmark for the event. But while mum, dad and sister were all present at the festive feast, Prince Sverre Magnus (17) was conspicuous by his absence.
– Not the same character
Se og Hør’s royal family expert Caroline Vagle explains why Prince Svere Magnus was not invited to the gala.
They don’t answer this
– Princess Ingrid Alexandra will inherit the throne as will Prince Christian, so she is a self-appointed guest. Prince Sverre Magnus doesn’t have the same role, a royal house expert tells Talkblade.
– but as a good friend of the family, it wouldn’t have been surprising if he had been invited anyway. Ingrid’s 18th birthday celebration was attended by Sweden’s little prince Oscar.
– must find his own way
In an interview with NRK this summer, Crown Prince Haakon was asked what kind of role Prince Sverre Magnus will have when he grows up.
broken
– I imagine he has to find his own way. After all, it was Ingrid who would take on the role. Magnus is probably involved in something, but I don’t think he’ll have an official role as a full-time thing. That was not the plan, the Crown Prince said at the time.
He said his son needs to find something he wants to do in life.
The prince is currently attending Elvebakken High School in Oslo, majoring in information technology and media production.
