William DeVry (ex-Julian, GH, ex-Storm, B&B and others) stars opposite Teri Hatcher (ex-Angelica, Capitol) in the holiday-themed romantic comedy, Christmas at the Chalet, which will premiere on Channel Lifetime on Saturday. November 25 at 8pm ET “I was excited when I found out I was working with Terry,” the actor enthuses.
In the film, DeVry says, “I play Eric Tremblay, the owner/manager of a small ski shop in Aspen, Colorado where Teri Hatcher’s character… [Lex] She booked a room – or did she? Haha. Part of the plot.” He summarizes said plot as “the resurrection in life – of two people – at a time of year when many people feel alone and afraid.” The actor says that what he enjoyed most about the role of Eric was his “journey of repressed dreams and love, believing that “It’s all gone beyond him, to finding all those things in one person.” His little crack of vulnerability was broken and Terry’s personality entered him.
The film was filmed “in a small ski town called Big White about seven hours north of Vancouver, Canada. The producer was a gentleman named Bruce Harvey who runs a production company called ReelOne Entertainment. I had a great time.” Working opposite Hatcher was “a lot of fun” for DeVry, who she called “a true professional.” I learned a lot from here.” He also praised the “great crew. I actually miss them. It’s always the crew that makes or breaks the shoot.”
“I hope people enjoy it,” DeVry says of the final product. An old friend in Montreal told me I was less Ken Doll and more Richard Gere Pretty woman“According to his wife! I thought that was actually a real compliment because it was one of the great movies of all time.
Even as his post-GH career flourishes, the actor “wants the GENERAL HOSPITAL fans to know how much I miss and respect them. They’re a great cast.” But he teases, “Dom [Zamprogna, Dante] And Nancy [Lee Grahn, Alexis] I already know I miss them, so they don’t need to scream.
