Storhammar’s surprise loss in Rumric – Lillehammer’s response

(Lørenskog – Storhamar 2-1) The Storhamar Stars suffered a heavy loss to newly promoted Lørenskog in the Elite Ice Hockey Series on Saturday.

17-year-old Matthias Dehle scored both goals for the side who rose to third place as the best team from the start of last year’s top flight.

The title candidate from Hamar took the lead through national team player Andreas Martinsen, but two goals from Dehli in the first and second half changed the result.

Lillehammer came back from a horrific 1-7 loss away to Valerenga in the previous round, but got off to a much better start when Frisk came to visit.

Jonas Medby put the hosts ahead after 11 minutes, before Martin Ellingsen doubled six minutes later.

After the break, Alexander Reichenberg added a third goal to make it 3-0, before Michael Haaga scored three minutes before the final break of the match.

In the third and final period, Tobias Vladipi pulled one back for the visitors again, but on the eve Reichenberg added to make it 4-2 and secure Lillehammer’s second win of the season.

Stjernen bounced back after two losses in the opening game of the season and won 8-0 away to Comet Halden.

Sparta Sarpsborg won over its guest Ringerke Panthers 3-1.

Lillehammer defeated its guest Frisk Asker 4-2.
