Last week, Si og Hør was able to find out that Sven Nordin (67) and his wife Torhild Strand (66) were moving in – after 37 years in the same house.
Nearly 40 years ago, the couple fell in love with the old stable dating back to 1870, which they renovated according to all the rules of art.
– With a heavy heart we sell. This is the only place we have stayed together as a couple and no one has stayed here before us. We painted every wall in our colors, and there were almost no windows or moldings. There was also no running water or electricity, and the firefighting instructions we had to take into account were extensive and expensive, Torhild points out to Se og Hør.
– It's a special environment here. We know the people who live in the area, which is exactly why I couldn't bear to walk by this house and see people enjoying themselves on our rooftop terrace after we sold. The couple says it will be very powerful.
The couple admitted that they don't get younger as they get older. That's why they're taking action, before it's too late.
Moving on with life after 37 years
-I am 67 years old, and Torhild will soon follow. You have now started traveling with a free tram ticket. My price is now 14 NOK, and I am entitled to a companion every now and then when things get tough. It's a sign that it's helpful to make things easier in life, says Sven, followed by a laugh.
Now the private house has been put up for sale. The proposed price is NOK 18 million. Estate agent Cecilie Beckman in Eie på Vinderen is responsible for the sale.
The prospectus states, among other things:
Charming 3-storey detached house with 15 sqm roof terrace. Originally built as a stable in 1885, the house was rebuilt in 1987 and later expanded in 1997 with an attic living room and roof terrace. The house has a 27-meter living room ending in a cozy kitchen with fireplace.
