Telles was on loan with Europa League champions Sevilla last season, after it became clear early on that he did not appear to have any future with United under Erik ten Hag.
He was also among the players not seen at Carrington when United’s players’ holiday ended on Saturday.
He is likely to end up making 50 appearances for United, including 30 in the league, after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought him on in autumn 2020 to create competition with Luke Shaw at left-back. Instead, Tin Hag chose to challenge Shaw by bringing in Tyrell Malacia.
