The warm-up is about to end. So Casper Road will serve first!

Last time before the game starts in the studio
Watch the broadcast in the studio just before the match starts with presenter Sander Hauan, tennis commentator Sverre Krogh Sundbø and VG commentator Leif Welhaven on top!

Casper Rod chose to serve first today. He is usually inclined to drop his serve if given the chance.
-
The crowd rose for Novak Djokovic, who will play in his seventh French Open final. He has won the championship twice before – most recently in 2021.

Ruud and Djokovic enter the court – without a roof!
Casper Roud and Novak Djokovic enter the gravel in Philippe Chatrier! It’s getting close to the start of the match.
-
The roof is sloping
It seems that the regulator is not quite decided yet. Now the roof is on its way again. Then it’s time to get outdoors!

Rain has been reported in Paris, and Philippe Chatrier’s roof is now being rolled over cobblestones. It will probably be final inside the hall.

Djokovic’s road to the final
Novak Djokovic is the third seed in the tournament, and he beat Aleksandar Kovacevich, Marton Fucovich, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Juan Pablo Farias, Karen Khatsjanov and Carlos Alcaraz on his way to the final.

Novak Djokovic has won the French Open twice before, at the latest in 2021, so the clay court tournament is the four Grand Slams he won the least four times (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open).
-
As mentioned, there was a grueling defeat for Ruud in last year’s French Open final against Nadal, before prodigy Carlos Alcaraz beat the Norwegian by more than four sets in the US Open final in September. Now the 24-year-old is out in his third Grand Slam final. Are all three good things for Rod?
-
Thus Casper Rudd plays for his first Grand Slam title. The 24-year-old Norwegian has already won 10 titles on the ATP Tour, but all of them have come at the 250 level – the lowest on the tour.
-
Djokovic and Ruud met four times earlier in their careers, with the Serb winning all of their matches. The Norwegian has never taken a set against the tennis legend, but the two have never met in a Grand Slam tournament before (best of five sets).
-
The match starts approx. 15:00 and broadcast on TVNorge and Discover +.
-
Norsk Road took to clay on Philippe Chatrier’s center court for his second consecutive French Open final – and his third Grand Slam final so far in his career. Last year, the opponent was the king of clay Rafael Nadal. This year it’s Djokovic – who with a win today can become the winningest player of all time with a total of 23 Grand Slam titles in his career.
