The scene shows a young version of Princess Kate attending a fashion show organized by students at the University of St Andrews. Her future husband, Prince William, is here too.
In the photos, the future princess appeared wearing a short, transparent dress with matching black underwear, thus the people It was actually a dress designed to be a skirt.

The scene is also very similar to photos from the actual fashion show that the princess attended when she was 19 years old.
Many avid “The Crown” fans reacted to the series’ version of the princess’s modeling debut.

This year’s season offers an insight into the beginning of the British prince couple’s love story, and according to the series, after the fashion show the pair fell in love with each other and kissed for the first time.
However, they did not officially become a couple until the following year, according to The Telegraph.
The series also shows that the prince’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, died on the same day the new couple shared their first kiss. This is not true as the fashion show was held on March 26, 2002 and the Queen Mother died four days later, on March 30.
On the other hand, the site confirms that the princely couple moved into a house together on Hope Street in 2002, but they should have been as roommates and not as romantic partners as the series portrays.
