Sam Cox, also known as “Mr. Doodle”, bought a house for 16 million with his wife Alina Cox in Kent, England.
In 2020, Cox decided he wanted to do something with the house, but it didn’t include a regular renovation.
900 liters of white paint, 401 cans of black paint, 286 bottles of sketch paint, and 2,296 fountain pens later, the house was completely renovated — with doodles and drawings everywhere.

big dream
“It’s been my life’s dream to scribble an entire house,” says Cox, who finished the project just a few days ago.
The house consists of 12 rooms, where each room has a different theme. Drawings fill the rooms from floor to ceiling, and the furniture is covered in scribbles.
The project started in the bedroom, then spread to the rest of the house. Finally, he also painted the front of the house.
– Every piece has to be different. Each room should have a different theme. Cox says it was exactly what I wanted it to be, and it was nice to work with.
The master bedroom has a “dream” theme, while one of the bathrooms has a sea theme in the graphics.
The artist shared the process with 2.7 million followers InstagramHe also made a video and posted it on Youtube.
The video consists of nearly two thousand images in a kind of “time-lapse” that shows him drawing at home.
– Very comfortable
Although drawing has been a hobby of “Mr. Doodle” since he was young, the wife has not been interested in scribbling either.
“It’s actually very comfortable for us, and we’re used to it,” she says.
The house will not be open to the public, but Cox frequently shares photos from his home on social media.
subway He writes that Cox was strictly instructed by the previous owners not to paint on the walls of the house:
– They told me: “Whatever you do, please – do not paint on the walls.” I didn’t listen, says “Mr. Doodle.”
Cox says this is the longest project he’s ever worked on, and he’s proud that he did it all himself.
