The man who struck and killed actress Lisa Banes is being punished with one to three years in prison.

Lisa Banes has passed away at the age of 65 in New York near Lincoln Center, after she was hit by a man on what was described as an electric scooter of some kind.
It was a so-called “hit-and-run” incident, meaning the person who hit her drove away from the scene.
According to TMZ, the killer was sentenced Wednesday to between one and three years in prison in New York County Superior Court.
He has been awaiting sentencing since September, when he pleaded guilty to manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident that led to death without informing authorities.
The public prosecutor demanded a prison sentence of 3 to 9 years.
A number of US media outlets reported in 2021 that the motorcyclist fled the scene, and that the actor was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital – seriously injured.
For ten days she wavered between life and death.
– The driver did not stop, but continued driving. Fortunately, this happened close to the hospital, said David Williams, Panis’s manager NBC News Shortly after the accident.
Banes, who played the mother of the missing woman in “the girl is gone”was crossing an Amsterdam street when the two-wheeler allegedly ran a red light and hit her.
The actor also rose to fame in films such as ‘A Cure for Wellness’ and ‘Cocktail’, as well as series such as ‘Six Feet Under’, ‘Nashville’, ‘Boston Legal’, ‘NYPD Blue’, ‘Royal Pains’ and ‘Them’.
