Feldstad and his family have taken several long trips and more are being planned. Here are his top tips for comfortable journeys with the Mazda MX-30, taking into account a range of up to 200 kilometers (WTLP).
• Fast chargers: For the MX-30, these are the best, with up to 50 kilowatt charging. Feldstad's experience indicates that the car charges from 20 to 80 percent within 20 to 25 minutes, when he finds stable fast chargers.
• The plan in application: Look for a charging app that offers suggestions for routes and charging stations, there are plenty of them on the market. People and baggage are often entered to get the best estimates. Make sure to spend some time planning for longer trips.
• Correct charging point: Only stop at charging stations that have multiple chargers, to avoid long lines on long holiday trips.
• Hot battery: Do not stop charging until the battery has warmed up, preferably after one to two hours, or by 20 percent. Then it charges faster.
• Food and drink: Choose a charging station that has a café or restaurant right next to it, so that the charging stations also become a coffee and food break.
• moves: Feel free to use charging stations for walking or playing, it is good for the body before driving.
• Expanding the luggage compartment: Fjeldstad gets three bags in the back of the MX-30, but increases the volume to 360 liters more by removing the hat rack. It also has a roof rack for transporting bicycles for example.
