Among the pre-trading on the IG trading platform, the Oslo Stock Exchange was up 0.05 percent just before 07 Monday.

Asia

In Japan, the Nikkei rose 0.3 percent, while the broad Topix rose 0.58 percent.

In China, the Shanghai Composite Index is down 0.06 percent, while the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong is down 0.86 percent. Meanwhile, South Korea’s Kopsi Index rose 0.32 percent.

In India, the Senex Index is down 0.77 percent, and the S&P/ASX 200 Index in Australia is up 0.57 percent. Singapore’s Straits Times fell 0.28 percent.

Brent crude rose 1.42 percent to $116.7 a barrel on Tuesday morning, while West Texas Intermediate crude rose 1.20 percent to $110.9 a barrel.

In contrast, a barrel of North Sea oil was traded at $112.93 a barrel at the close of trading in Oslo on Monday.

United States of America

The three major indices on Wall Street finished the first trading day of the week in the red.

The broad S&P 500 fell 0.30 percent to 3900.11. The Nasdaq Tech Index closed 0.72 percent lower at 11,524.55, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.20 percent lower at 31,438.26.

The 10-year US government bond yield ended 8.1 basis points higher at 3.205 percent, while the VIX closed 0.81 percent lower at 27.02.

When the Oslo Stock Exchange closed, the main index was 1,182.10, up 1.80 percent.

Øystein Stray Spetalen Standard Supply is expanding its fleet with a ten-year-old supply vessel. The stock rose 6.67 percent on the stock exchange.
