Football referee Sascha Stegmann and his family received threats after he did not award a penalty kick to Borussia Dortmund in a 1-1 match against Bochum.
There was a case in which Bochum’s Danilo Soares was fouled by Karim Adeyemi in the penalty area in a Bundesliga match on Friday. However, referee Steigmann did not agree with the Dortmund camp that it was a penalty kick, and the VAR did not intervene either.

He has taken the case to the police and now has preventative measures in place.
Dortmund manager Hans-Joachim Watzke said on Sunday that the club had put Friday’s penalty behind her.
– We accept it, and this is the end of the discussion for us, Watzke told the German news agency DPA.
