The chef at Frantzén Restaurant in Stockholm, Antti Lukkari, has passed away.

This is what Bjorn Frantzen, the owner of the restaurant, writes on Instagram.

—I am absolutely devastated to have had to announce the tragic and untimely loss of my dear friend, golfing companion and colleague Ante Lucari, chef of Restaurant Frantzén, writes.

Lukari’s father, Hannu Lukari, also confirmed Lukari’s death to the Finnish newspaper Elta Sanom.

– He will miss a lot

– Ante died after being treated in hospital for an illness he contracted while on vacation. I think of Ante’s family and everyone close to him, Frantzen continues.

Restaurant Frantzen has three Michelin stars.

Lukkari’s friend also posted on his photo Instagram accountwriting that the chef battled metabolic acidosis, kidney failure, sepsis (blood poisoning), and TTP.
