Police in Nordland reported a traffic accident in the Sloverfjord tunnel just after half past nine on Saturday morning.
– Traffic accident report between a motorcycle and a car. The tunnel is closed. Emergency services on scene.
It is currently unknown how long the road will be closed. There are direct detours in and out of Lofoten via the ferry connections Melbu – Fiskebol, Skudvik – Svolver or Bodo – Moskenes.
Police say they went to the scene just after 10 p.m. and the accident appears to be very serious.
– The accident team of the Swedish Road Administration is on its way to the scene.
An air ambulance has now reached the spot.
A journalist from Lofotenboston reported large queues in the area after half past eleven.
