Ulrikke Brandstorp admits: – I was always afraid of loneliness

ShRicky Brandstorp (28) has always dreamed big of a husband and children – the complete package with a nuclear family.

Her parents became a very young couple, and she always looked up to them and wanted to achieve the same as they did. When she was 20, she was worried she wouldn't find a partner, she says on the podcast “Guilt and shame” By Abed and Nadia.

-I messed up

-I've always been afraid of feeling lonely. When I moved to Oslo, I could sing in front of several thousand people, with unbridled energy, and then go home to an empty apartment where I would lie alone in the dark. It was such a contradiction, and I was so afraid to be alone. My biggest dream in life is to have children and start a family, she says on the podcast.

Ulrikke adds that she went to a gynecologist when she was very young, just to see if everything was okay. If she does not have the opportunity to have biological children, she will be ready for it as soon as possible, because it is very important to her.

The man in her life

Fortunately, Ulrike met the man of her dreams, Oscar Nordberg, just over three years ago, and after just two weeks they were a couple.

She had already noticed during the first date that he was the man in her life. But the fear of abandonment, the source of which she has no idea, drives her to test Oscar right at first.

She had to see if he could be trusted, or if he would disappear once things got tough.

-I was so afraid that I would get hurt, so I pushed him and pushed him away. Fortunately, he's a stubborn Bergen. But it was a process! I became insecure once he didn't say he loved me every day. “It took a long time before I was able to let go of the uncertainty and trust in him,” she says on the podcast.
