Carmoy: Åkraselskapet Rental Technology and Services (RTS) rents technology and services.
Recently, after the Subsea Expo, they were able to announce a new collaboration with the Scottish company Subsea Tooling Services (STS).
STS is based in the North East of the country in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
The strategic partnership between RTS and STS represents a milestone in the subsea industry, as the combined expertise will provide leading ROV solutions for storage, service and support of STS’s remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) and diver-controlled dredging machines and equipment in Norway, the company says.
STS will be known for designing and manufacturing ROV dredging machines and has chosen RTS as a partner to store, service and support its equipment at the strategic Karmøy site in Norway.
“This partnership is in line with our commitment to provide first-class rental technology, ROV tools and services for mapping equipment to the subsea industry,” says Magne Vikra, Head of ROV Tooling at RTS.
Under the agreement, RTS will act as a rental hub for STS ROV dredges and associated equipment, ensuring that these critical assets are readily available for deployment at short notice. The facility in Karmøy will serve as a central point for customers in Norway.
