The Swedish Road Administration is asking people to drive carefully in eastern Norway on Thursday morning. Many wagon trains are stopped in the morning hours.
The Eastern Road Traffic Center is warning of slippery sections on the E6 south of the capital and north towards Oslo.
– Today there are many soft categories. It snowed last night and it’s a very cold road, transport operator Nils Jacob A told NTP.
Where traffic is low, salt will not bite into smooth surfaces.
– Most of the snow has come from the north of E6, so you have to be extra careful there. At the same time, all side roads are smooth, says Aye.
– His advice is to keep a good distance and slow down.
Closed in both directions
The Oslofjordtunnel in the direction of E134 and Drammen is temporarily closed due to a truck train derailment. The wagon train moved at 7, and the tunnel was now open in both directions. Vegtrafikksentralen writes on X (Twitter).
At around 6am on Thursday, a lorry train came to a complete stop on the E6 at Moss in the direction of Oslo. After a while, the wagon train moved and the road was reopened.
