“Mixed Drops” will be offered in late June and early July. Whether it’s good or bad depends on the eye of the beholder, says meteorologist Unni Nilsen, who works at the Meteorological Centre.
– Because of the drought, there are many people who think that it would be good if there was some rain now.
After a completely dry period in many places, we are now entering a period of very changeable weather. However, there is no chance of heavy rainfall.
– As far as I can see, we are moving towards very unstable conditions. At least in the south.
No more hot nights
A couple of days later, Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be more changeable in the east from Thursday, with temperatures in the 20s.
– It will be a bit more volatile on Thursday and the week ahead. There may be some scattered showers, but there will also be a chance of sunny spells. Especially Saturday, Nilsen says.
The temperature will also decrease.
– Decrease by approximately ten degrees. Many places used to get 25-30 degrees, but now we get 15-20 instead.
For those tired of night sweats, the meteorologist can tempt you with a temperature of 10-12 degrees in the future.
– It’s going to be a bit more of a typical Norwegian summer, one might say.
– They don’t realize it
again again
The same trends apply to both southern Norway and western Norway: temperatures drop and thunderstorms and several hours of sunshine follow each other.
Wednesday and Friday look to offer good weather, with Thursday and Saturday expected to be rainy. A few thunderstorms are possible over the next few days.
However, the meteorologist says that the rain will be a bit stronger than in the east.
Trøndelag will also get a weather change, experiencing temperatures above 30 degrees in recent days.
– It will be very unsettled, with a few days of heavy rain on Friday and Sunday, and some on Saturday.
Good weather in the north
In short, Nielsen believes that it is difficult to summarize the weather conditions in southern Norway. However, if we move further north, it is much easier.
– It is absolutely guaranteed to be a good time in Troms and Finnmark. The weather will be dry for a good week, with nice summer temperatures.
In Tromsø, for example, temperatures on Tuesday will be around the 20s. Temperatures are likely to be around 24-25 degrees on Friday and Saturday, with temperatures dropping again over the weekend.
– However, it looks like the weather will be very good. It will be very hot.
It’s also good in Nordland. Here, Lurøy can boast of having the only measuring station measuring the tropical night on Tuesday.
– Nilsen says Helgeland could see some rain on Thursday and Friday, but it will be serviceable in between.
By the end of the week, temperatures will also drop in northern Norway. For example, the meteorologist explains that it can be 12-14 degrees during the day in Tromsø instead of 22-24.
Jump into the sea
However, the temperature of the bath does not decrease.
– The temperature of the bath has become too high, and it will be very usable. Water retains more heat, so even if the temperature in the air drops slightly, it will be fine in both the sea and the water.
Nielsen’s summer weather forecasts extend to approximately July 6. After June with above-normal temperatures, a cooler start to July is in order.
– Can we see temperatures in the 20s all summer long?
– It is said to be the hottest July ever. This can happen because the forecasts are only for the first week. So the temperature will be high till July. I’d say there’s a chance, but it’s hard to say when.
