Zelensky: – Arrested after the Kramatorsk attack

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, one person has been detained following the Russian missile attack on Kramatorsk on Tuesday.

– Today, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the police special forces, arrested a person who coordinated this terrorist attack. Zelensky writes in Telegram that anyone who helps Russian terrorists destroy lives deserves the maximum penalty.

Two sisters were killed

Eleven people were reportedly killed in the attack – including three teenagers, two of whom were 14-year-old twin sisters. At least 61 people are reported to have been injured.

Two missiles are said to have been fired at the Ukrainian city. One hit a downtown restaurant district, while the other hit a village on the outskirts of the city.

Ukraine’s Security Service says the arrested man works for a gas transport company, and is suspected of filming the restaurant and giving Russia information that it was popular, NTB wrote.

near the front

The authorities initially stated that the attack was carried out with Russian S-300 missiles, but it later emerged that short-range Iskander missiles were used.

Kramatorsk has a population of about 160,000 and is located near the front in eastern Ukraine.

The city was also subjected to Russian attacks in the past.
